My Papaw's hand....

This hand...

...made the famous "papaw waffles" every time I spent the night at my grandparents

...could create things out of wood that were breathtaking & became family heirlooms

...taught his son and grandson how to work with wood

...fought in World War II

...held the hand of his wife as she passed away

...threw many fishing rods into waters...

...& pulled out many fish

...would have the nails cleaned out by a "manly" way - using a knife

...helped the neighbors whenever they needed it

...worked in many yards

...are a pair of the strongest hands I've ever seen... or held...

.... & this hand reached for Jesus today....

I pray this hand is shaking hands of friends & family that have passed before him....

... most importantly, I pray this hand is raised to our Heavenly Father in pure worship...

Rest in peace Paps

I bet he's holding your grandmother's hand! Your picture and your words are just so beautiful, so full of love! I love that picture of his hand. What a gift you will have to remember him by - and what a heritage to pass down to your children's children! Praying preace and comfort for you. It's wobbly learning how to walk through life when people we love go on before us.

That is beautiful. I hope that my Ma & Popa have met your Papaw & Gramma(there are no strangers in heaven I believe) and they are having a great time. We miss them dearly here, but what a reunion it will be one day.

Many prayers are with you.

Beautiful RJ ~ Praying for comfort for you & family and hoping that the knowledge that he did indeed meet Jesus today brings you that peace. While the tears will flow because you will miss sharing life here with him, you know he is rejoicing in Heaven tonight & now will be waiting on you there one day. This isn't goodbye...it's just a "see you later". Love you my friend!!
