If you could do it over again...

Have you ever stopped by Mama Kat's ?  This is one funny lady who is a fabulous, gorgeous momma... & every week, she has a Writing Prompt list you can choose from & link back up to on Thursdays.  This week, one of the prompts really stuck out to me... "If you could do it over again..." My mind started racing.  Most people probably have one thing but I guess I'm an over achiever.... so here we go...

If I could do it over again...I'd

-take better care of my skin & be afraid of wrinkles
-finish college
-take dance classes
-learn to love running earlier in life
-deliver the news a different way
-still have her as my best friend growing up
-stand up for myself
-do stretches & keep that youthful flexibility
-have my grandmother teach me to make her homemade dumplings
-make myself like milk ... or take calcium tablets daily
-floss more often
-never start the addiction to Diet Coke
-keep up with piano lessons
-go on that date
-never would have gone on that date
-be more active in school functions
-say "I love you" more often
-realize his priorities affected me more then him
-ride that roller coaster
-still punch him in the face...but maybe a little harder
-learn to cook earlier
-tell him that the sheet music & white roses is still the best Valentines gift I ever got
-never have that party
-finda job doing something I'm passionate about
-still never try a cigarette or drugs
-take my yearbook with me when I moved
-let him know I'm not naive... I knew he was lying
-never let the friendship fade away
-never let it happen

Oh my... I can sit & think all day of things that I would not do again.. & things I wouldnt change...

I guess in the end, all of it - good & bad - made me who I am today...

What one thing would you'd change if you could do it again?

Oh! What a lovely list. I think I would add:

*Take high school more seriously so that I would do better during my first two years of university.
*Keep track of my senior year yearbook
*I would have left "you know who" about 3 years earlier than I did.
*be better about eating my veggies & fruit at an earlier age.

Wow, that's a lot! There are quite a few things I'd like to do have done/not done in high school. The things you learn with wisdom (and I still I have far to go!).

it's not too late to take the dance class - hey, aren't you already zumba-ing??? ahhhh...maybe you meant a specific dance class back then? or am I reading too much into this?

I'm still taking my dance classes as pathetically uncoordinated as I am :D

Soooooooooooo with ya on finding a job doing something I am passionate about

Stopping by from Mama Kat's!

There are many items on your list that I agree with. You did a great job with this weeks prompt!
